It seems inadvisable to go to a hip because if you do he can put you to your back, I feel as though a simple mule kick can be very affective.

I don’t coach my kids to ride parallel on a leg ride. The only time I have them throw a power half is on the same side of the leg when the opponent’s hips are down to expose his back and keep him from turning in.

@saul143ful. When u hip down, reach for the bottom of the foot and elevate. Then turn into him. This is crucial, most guys wont let u gently push their leg off

ehhhh..ur talking about fighting an arm vs a leg…hes gonna be tight in with leg..not too sure if he could remove the leg so easily and counter the opponent

The only problem I see with this is most “smart” leftovers will hook both legs before going for the power half and this would set u up for a guillotine from that scenario
